This policy explains what information Michael Furnace LLC ("we", "us") collects through michaelfurnace.org, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Information you give us — your name, business name, email, phone number and message when you request a scoping call or create a client account.
- Purchases — when you buy a service, payment is processed by Square. We receive your name, email, what you bought and the amount. We never see or store your full card number.
- Website chat — the questions you type into our website chat and the answers it gives, so we can improve it. Names, email addresses and phone numbers are removed before anything is saved, and chat records are deleted after 90 days. The chat uses Google's AI service to write its answers.
- Basic site data — standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) kept by our hosting provider for security and reliability.
- Visit counts — we count page views and actions such as tapping “call” or sending a form, without cookies. To count unique daily visitors we use a one-way code made from your IP address and browser that changes every day and cannot be reversed; your IP address itself is not saved. Raw visit records are combined into daily totals within about a day. To stop spam, we briefly keep a similar one-way code to limit repeated form submissions.
How we use it
- To respond to your inquiry and deliver the services you buy.
- To send receipts, updates about your engagement, and follow-up about your inquiry.
- To send text messages only if you opted in (see below).
- To keep our records, comply with law, and protect against fraud.
Text messages (SMS)
If you check the box agreeing to receive texts, we may text you about your inquiry and engagement. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or your text-messaging opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Opting in is never a condition of purchase.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the business — for example Square (payments), Netlify (website hosting and accounts), Google (the AI behind our website chat), Quo (our business phone line), monday.com (where we track inquiries and client projects), and the email, texting and automation tools we use to respond to you — and only as needed to provide our services, or when required by law. We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry and client records for as long as needed to serve you and meet legal and tax record-keeping requirements, then delete or anonymize them.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or to stop contacting you, by using the contact form on our home page. Email messages include an opt-out, and you can reply STOP to any text.
Children
Our services are for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
